The Application Procedure


Stage 1

To apply for a teaching position, submit the following documents as soon as possible:

  1. Application form, signed and completed in full.
  2. Resume.
  3. An official copy of transcripts.
  4. 2 passport size photos.
  5. Letters of recommendation, particularly those from a previous employer are recommended but not required.

While there is no application deadline, it is suggested that you submit all application materials at least 1-3 months prior to your preferred departure date. Applications will not be considered until all application materials have been received.

Stage 2

Selected applicants will be asked to interview with an ALC representative. Interviews will be conducted in Berkeley, CA or via telephone.

Stage 3

If the applicant demonstrates favorable qualifications for a teaching position overseas, he/she will then be considered for all future openings. The more flexible the applicant is in terms of availability, the greater his/her chances of placement will be.

The application is four pages in length. Download and print each page. Your responses should be either handwritten or typed. Please do not submit your application online.
